Pic 2 was taken from a point a small distance above the summit on Mud Hill road. Pics 1 and 5 taken along Plateau Creek, the lowest part of the western approach, even though that particular ride continued up Grand Mesa. Pics 3 and 5: approaching the Colorado Valley near Silt and New Castle. Other approaches are possible along that section.
